P hillipsburg, in Warren County, is a town rich in history and possibility. First named on a map in 1754, the town is located at the forks of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers. It was the starting point for the ambitious Morris Canal that extended transportation routes from the Delaware River to Jersey City on the Hudson. Phillipsburg's heritage and riverside location make it a fine destination for the tourist interested in history, commerce, and recreation such as canoeing and kayaking.
